Beef Black Pepper with Broccoli

INGREDIENTS

500 gr Beef

300 gr Broccoli (rinsed)

1 pc Onion (chopped)

5 cloves Garlic (chopped)

1 cm Ginger (chopped)

2 tsp Sweet Soy Sauce

2 tbsp Oyster Sauce

1 tsp Sesame Oil

1 tsp Olive Oil

1 tbsp Corn Starch (dilute in 100 mL Hot Water)

1 tbsp Ground Black Pepper

1 tsp Sesame Seeds

2 tsp Salt (or more to taste)

Brisket, Knuckle, Cuberoll, Chuck Tender

STEP BY STEP

  1. Boil 500 mL of Water and add 1 tsp of Salt. Add the broccoli and cook it for ±1 minute. Remove it and plunge it on a bowl of ice water.
  2. Heat the pan, and add Olive Oil, Onion, Garlic and Ginger to golden brown. Add in the Beef, Water and bring it to boil. Lower the heat to low-medium heat temperature, add Salt, Sweet Soy Sauce, OysterSauce, and Black Pepper.Adjust the taste to your preference. Add corn starch and cook for another ±5minutes.
  3. Add the Blanched Broccoli, and stir-fry with the beef for ±1.5minutes to have it crisp. If you prefer the broccoli to be soft, then you can cook it longer.
  4. Place it on a plate and top it with Black Pepper & Sesame Seeds. Enjoy it with a hot bowl of rice just like the Asian way!
